Graphics card company Nvidia has announced a new promotion where you can get a free copy of Gears of War 4 on PC with the purchase of a select GeForce GPU or GTX-based system.

Starting today, purchases of a GTX 1080 or GTX 1070, or systems that feature those cards, come with a digital copy of Gears of War 4. The offer runs until October 30, 2016. The 1080 goes for $700, while the 1070 can be had for $450. Prices for GTX-based PCs and laptops vary.

Microsoft's partnership with Nvidia for this promotion is something of an interesting one, given that the Xbox One uses AMD chips. Whether or not the Xbox Scorpio device does the same remains to be seen.

Gears of War 4 is an Xbox Play Anywhere title. As such, the code you get with this Nvidia promotion also gets you a copy of the game on Xbox One, Nvidia pointed out. The offer is good through Nvidia's own store as well as other retailers. Nvidia advises that you ensure the seller is participating in the promo.

Gears of War 4's launch trailer came online this week--you can watch it here. The game is due out on October 11, though there is a way to play four days early.
