GarageGames has today announced that its first two games have begun shipping to stores in North America as a result of a publishing and distribution agreement with eGames. The games Gadgets and Marble Blaster were both previously available to buy online from GarageGames' official Web site.

"This is a considerable milestone in fulfilling the GarageGames mission to create a sustainable independent game-development segment in the gaming industry," said Jeff Tunnell, president of GarageGames. "We see ourselves as a farm team to bring the next generation of talent to the big-box publishers. It is no small feat to have two of our first self-funded titles going into retail stores."

"Marble Blaster and Gadgets are being received enthusiastically by retailers, and we have already received numerous orders", said Rich Siporin, vice president of sales and marketing at eGames. "We have secured placement in many retailers, including GameStop, Best Buy, Electronics Boutique, and CompUSA, and are looking forward to additional distribution at other major retail chains."

Marble Blaster is an action game in which players race their marbles through levels full of hazards, while Gadgets is a 3D puzzle game in which players must solve problems using contraptions of their own creation.
