Kesmai Corporation and Segasoft Networks say their online gaming services, GameStorm and HEAT.NET respectively, will now be providing subscribers with access to each other's service via a "one-button" connection.

GameStorm online games include Air Warrior III, Multiplayer Battletech, Aliens Online, Jack Nicklaus Online Golf Tour, Legends of Kesmai, Starship Troopers: Battlespace, Stellar Emperor, and Harpoon.

HEAT.NET online games include Quake I and II, Battlezone, Net Fighter, Hexen II, Warcraft II, Total Annihilation, Age of Empires, Heavy Gear, Links 98, Army Men, and Duke Nukem.

"The GameStorm and HEAT.NET partnership provides members of both services with the world's largest collection of online-only and CD-ROM-based games," said Chris Holden, CEO of Kesmai. "For the first time ever, the best massively multiplayer games and the best high-speed CD-ROM games are offered together in one easy-to-use software package."

"The community experience and broad menu of content, including the hottest exclusives, just got a lot better for HEAT.NET and GameStorm members," said Gary Griffiths, president and CEO of SegaSoft. "The combined offering is clearly the best available anywhere online and an undeniable proposition to sponsors, advertisers, and business partners alike."

As a result of a partnership first announced at Jupiter's fall Online Games Conference last November, GameStorm users can now enjoy premium HEAT.NET membership at a reduced rate (US$5.95/month or $49.99/year for regular membership). HEAT.NET users can gain access to GameStorm at a reduced rate with the first month being free (normally it is $9.95/month).
