Gamestop has had very poor deals considering how big they are. In their ads they even had brand new games listed full price.

Tried to buy it. Keep getting errors on the site.  Doesn't say sold out, and it's still Monday.

Anyone who hasn't played Witcher 2 already has really missed out.  Go buy it already.

Witcher 2 is a great game, I got it for $10 a long time ago though for 360. I already had it on PC, and Best Buy was having a  sale for $10 on 360. Great price for RPG fans.

While these are good deals you can get deals just as good if not better elsewhere online. Over the weekend I was able to get Dishonored, Skyrim and LittleBig Karting for $25 each along with Assassins Creed III for $35 on Amazon.

Just now steam has The Witcher 2 for 7.49, but it is the PC version. Other deals existed below the marks set by Gamestop as well.

But! Gamestop will sell console games - which you can't get on Steam, so that's a plus.

I wouldn't even pay $10 for Witcher and I would be surprised if Nintendo didn't pull another Wii with the Wii U shortages.

Not really that much of news. Basically just free advertising for gamestop.Well doubt it was free, i wonder how much they got paid for posting this article?

And beside since it is online only, it is completely inferior to all the steam deals that have been out.

None of these sales are even coming close to competing with Steam. The Witcher 2 for $20? I got The Witcher 1 and 2 bundled together for $10 six months ago off Steam.

They use the same picture for every gamestop article.

Well I'm happy. Don't know if its much different here in Canada but I got some great deals. I bought Prince of Persia HD for only 10$ and Max Payne 3 for 20$ both brand new right at the store.

 @Toysoldier34 ..does people know all the games that Gamestop offered on the list can be bought from Steam with cheaper price?!  i got the Witcher 2 for $7.99.

 @sammoth its the exact same version.... on 360.  $2.50 is also a fortune i heard. Also it is a good deal for people who cannot run the game on high settings.

Stop trying to find the smallest and most irrelevant things to show how the pc version is better. Like get over it, it is an amazing game regardless of what you play it on.

 The PC version looks far better though.

 @zo70 The only store I have ever seen come close to matching Steam Sales is GreenManGaming. They are they only place I have found that offers good deals on games not even out yet. I already bought Tomb Raider for $30. Also got Dishonored, Borderlands 2, Dark Souls, and Xcom for close to 40-50% off with preordering them all.

 @zo70

Not really. Skyrim and all those other games were already on sale for $30 a couple days ago, Max Payne 3 went for $15. I got Saints Row 3 the full package for $12.

 @StarSfrife Dude, with Steam, there's not case, cd, manual, etc. Use common sense.

 @StarSfrife These are console sales we're talking about ($10 licensing fees per unit + manufacturing cost). Witcher 2 is also going for  $10 at Gamestop rather than $20, so not the worst deal.

 @TriumphantToad Might as well all gamestops look the same anyway they even have the same smell when you walk in there.. odd.

@Evilbunz

WTF is your problem? I just stated a fact about the game. (It is better on PC) and it was cheaper if you had a PC that could run it. Only thing that you are right about is it being an Amazing game. Play it on what you want. I don't care but, even on low setting on PC it looks better than its console counter part.

PS2fweak

 @Evilbunz  @sammoth Thank you.

I would get sammoth's point if it was on sale for $30 or even $20, but $10 is so close it's the same as $7.50.  Especially since console gamers aren't really use to Steam-like deals for quality newer games like The Witcher 2. And people who are interested in the 360 version probably can't get/play the PC version unless they spend a lot more than $7.50 anyways.

Toysoldier34
Toysoldier34

 @Evilbunz  @sammoth The game looks and runs far better on PC even with lower settings which doesn't take that much at all.

You seem pretty upset over people pointing out how the game is cheaper elsewhere. The game released on PC then they later went back and downscaled everything to get it to run on the 360, it isn't the same game.

@PS2fweak@Evilbunz

You guys clearly missed my point. The point was the PC version is better overall experience. I am not knocking consoles ate all. I was just stating if you had a rig that could handle it then by in no means sell yourself short and get the PC version.

Toysoldier34
Toysoldier34

 @PS2fweak  @Evilbunz  @sammoth The people that care are ones that own both systems. Anyone that has a 360 and PC might want to buy this, but be happy to know they could get it cheaper on PC.

Also, since when have console gamers never cared about what a game looks like? I know it is true to an extent, hence playing on a console. But if given a choice I am sure anyone would choose for their game to look better, there is no drawback to having a game look better.

You should really just calm down before you make a fool out of yourself.

PS2fweak
PS2fweak

 @Toysoldier34  @Evilbunz @sammoth You're still talking about stuff console gamers don't really give a sh*t about. It's exactly the same game.

The point Evilbunz is making is quite obvious. Why talk about the PC version when this amazing deal is obviously directed at 360 gamers? It's just one of those things that starts those stupid console vs. PC wars. They both have their benefits and issues, so who cares?

 @Toysoldier34  For someone like him, the "correct place" would be anyplace where he could get attention.

Fiscaldeal

 @mulder_000  @StarSfrife Because publishers can get away with charging as much as they do. People are accustomed to buying $60 games on consoles, so they feel they can get away with it everywhere. PC games used to sell for $50 at release (they don't have to give MS/Sony $10 per copy), but those days are long gone.
