GameStop today announced a special PlayStation 3-to-PlayStation 4 upgrade offer for Sony's Major League Baseball game MLB 14: The Show. If you're a PowerUp Rewards member, you can get the PS4 version for $20 when you trade in the PS3 version, provided it was purchased at GameStop.

A membership to GameStop's PowerUp Rewards program is free. Sony has not announced any kind of upgrade offer for MLB 14: The Show to date.

The PS3 and PlayStation Vita versions of MLB 14: The Show are available today (that's no April Fool's joke), while the PS4 iteration launches on May 6. If you had an exsiting preorder for the PS3, PS Vita, and PS4 versions of the game, you'll receive $20 worth of in-game currency for MLB 14: The Show.

In addition, GameStop is holding a special trade-in promotion surrounding MLB 14: The Show. Any trades (games, consoles, smartphones, tablets, accessories) applied to the purchase of MLB 14: The Show will receive a 30 percent in-store credit bonus. PowerUp Rewards Pro members ($15/year) will earn 10 percent more, for a total of 40 percent extra credit.

Finally, GameStop is launching an "MLB Mondays" promotion through its website where it will host new information, trailers, and gameplay videos for MLB 14: The Show every Monday leading up to the PS4 release on May 6. You can check out the landing page on GameStop's website for more.

MLB 14: The Show is not the only professional baseball game in town this year. Though the MLB 2K series is no more, Major League Baseball itself is working on a new entry in the R.B.I. Baseball series coming later this spring to consoles, PC, and mobile.
