Now you can catch up, as GameSpot has announced its nominees for the Best and Worst of 2005 awards. I'm thinking Mario Kart DS will sweep whatever awards it is nominated for (Best Driving, Best DS Game etc.) *Crosses fingers

"Worst Trend = All the lousy "urban"-themed games" HOW TRUE !!!

I think it's cool except for the fact that they have games in some categories that I think are bogus! How can you put the new Madden (not just the 360 version) in the most dissappointing category when so many people like the ones not on 360 and I happen to think the gameplay of the 360 version is the best football I have ever played on a system. Yet again Gamespot decides to put together the game list while drunk. I swear most of the reviews are done the same way. Go IGN and Teamxbox! PS. I do like the previews you guys do with all the video content but then the review always kills me.

Interesting. I will surely participate, and expect some unexpected results.

Oh hell yeah! I'm crossing my fingers for a Psychonauts sweep. Let's see... Best Original Music : I don't know about this one, but the music in the Milkman Conspiracy stage was pretty nice. Best Story : Hell, just like Full Throttle and Grim Fandango showed us, you can't beat a story written by Tim Schaefer. Best Voice Acting : Again, Tim Schaefer game! Best Graphics, Artistic : The Milkman Conspiracy stage alone deserves an honorary prize for its wicked concept! Best New Character : Who better to create a character than Tim Schaefer (eh eh eh, that rhymed...) Funniest Game : No comments here...Just Tim Schaefer. Who can forget the "Run you pigeons, it's Robert Frost" from Grim Fandango! :) Best Game No One Played : It really a shame that this game tanked and 50 cent : Bulletproof sold like crazy... Best Platformer : Again, the Milkman Conspiracy stage everyone! Best XBOX Game : Yeah, Psychonauts! :D

Seriosly, why the hell is Jade Empire in most dissapointing games catagory? I should be in best RPG, and maybe best Xbox game too. What the hell is gamespot thinking?

Trackmania Sunrise should win Best Game No One Played, simply because the other possible winner, Psychonauts, will probably win in ~5 other categories and doesn't need one more.

i wonder why halo2 wasnt in the best of xbox games, even though singleplayer wasnt that good, multiplayer still has a surprising amount of longevity...even though it can get boring at times...do it up oldschool and invite the friend u have..i mean there must be some that arent from another content on xbox live.....and have a lan party it was also rated pretty high by gamespot...9.2 i think? something like that...and what about GTA:SA that was rated even higher....is gamespot like......suffering from ADD or Altzheimers or something....cuz if im not mistaken i didnt see either of those games which both had great longevity halo2 for multiplayer on xbl and some lan party possibility and GTA:SA for its amazing free roaming world and awesome single player story line...i loved it.....does gamespot..........do u have milk........what came first....chicken...the egg.....or jesus

"Quake 4" being in the "slide-show" catagory is pretty lame. I have a computer that is over a year old and I had NO problem with framerates even with all the bells and whistles turned up. That alone will keep me from voting in these "awards".

Biggest News: TGS 2005: Miyamoto unveils Nintendo's Revolution controller Seriously, that's the news item everyone had been waiting for since the NRev was first announced. And Nintendo actually delivered a controller more wild and wacky then anyone expected. Most Disappointing Delay: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GameCube) I still cry myself to sleep about that one.

I would like to care, but I just don't. This whole thing is just what Gamespot thinks. What you think is sure as hell not what I think. How is "Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks" suprisingly good? IT'S MORTAL KOMBAT!!!!! Of course it's good! How can "50 Cent: Bulletproof" have bad voice acting? It can't be that hard to sound like yourself! 50 sounds like 50, Yayo sounds like Yayo, Banks sounds like Banks, etc. Not to metion how much they look like their real life counterparts! I can't wait to see the sequel on PS3. You guys suck.

How the Hell did Jade Empire end up on the most dissapointed list. What were they expecting, the Morrowind equivalent of an ancient Chinese mythology based game. That nomination is total crap. I've lost nearly all respect for gamespot.

Xbox 360 better win best hardware, because it has components similar to other finalists, but all together

Like others have said, what is up with Jade Empire being labeled disappointing? I thought it did everything KOTOR did, but better. And it didn't have all that annoying Hutt-ese.

Umm.. Why is Amped up for Best Story and Best Character? I think someone's got the "hey it's new and I like it" fever. Also, does any one find it odd that Sony systems are the only ones in the 'Best fighting game' category? Is there no fighting anywhere else?

My biggest problem is Guitar Hero being listed fo Best Original Game Mechanic. Guitar Freaks already did that 6 years ago.
