Gamers League Finals Upcoming

PGL to jet 16 finalists to Seattle for cappuccino and online warfare.

The Professional Gamers League has released the names of the 16 finalists (eight in both the Quake and C&C: Red Alert brackets) that the PGL is jetting to the league's first season championships, set for January 30 and 31 at GameWorks Seattle.

Those finalists (in alphabetical order):

For Quake: B2 from Davis, California; cabalist, from Houston, Texas; frick, from Cupertino, California; Lord_Jim, from Troy, New York; Reptile, from Eureka, Illinois; soulnet, from Newnan, Georgia; Thresh, from Berkeley, California; and Unholy, from Camarillo, California.

For C&C: Red Alert: DeepBlue, from Rochester, New York; Hoggleford, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; MOBBIN, from Marrerro , Louisiana; Push, from Cayce, South Carolina; Sephiroth, from Eureka, Illinois; SOLJA, from Avondale, Louisiana; Str8Ballin, from Marrerro, Louisiana; and Unabomber1, from Mt. Laurel, New Jersey.

The top finisher in each category will go home with $7,500 in cash and more than $5,000 in prizes.
