GAME Studios to Publish Myst III

GAME Studios announced today that it will publish Myst III: Exile for the Macintosh and PC. Presto Studios is developing the game, which is the third installment in the popular Myst adventure game series that includes Myst and Riven. Myst III: Exile is the first game to be announced by GAME Studios, which is the new name for the entertainment division of The Learning Company. The acquisition of The Learning Company by Gores Technology Group last year prompted the search for a new name that would unite the numerous brands included in what was previously Mattel Interactive, and the name chosen by the company is GAME Studios.

In addition to Myst III: Exile, the newly named division will publish several other PC games between April and September of this year, including The Moon Project, Destroyer Command, Silent Hunter II, Flanker Attack, and Warlords IV. Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor will be published under the SSI brand, which is also included in the division.
