For anyone who had an interest in last year's Ultimate Muscle: Legends vs. New Generation but lacked the necessary console system to play the GameCube-exclusive wrestler, Bandai has fortunately announced its AKI Corporation-developed follow-up, titled Galactic Wrestling: Featuring Ultimate Muscle. Bandai will be showing the game at its E3 booth, and the game will be released exclusively on the PlayStation 2 this summer. Based on Fox's Saturday-morning cartoon, Galactic Wrestling will feature the continuing adventures of the Muscle League, an intergalactic federation of wrestlers where the good guys and bad guys whale on one another with spectacular and improbable wrestling maneuvers, all while engaging in some anime-inspired adventures.

Galactic Wrestling: Featuring Ultimate Muscle will feature precisely the same brand of fast-paced gameplay as its GameCube predecessor, including the same variation of the AKI wrestling engine found in the previous game. More than 40 of the Ultimate Muscle elite will be included in the game, and you will be able to use them in a variety of different modes, including singles, tag team, battle royal, and five-versus-five group mode. The game will also let you unlock new grapplers by completing various levels and challenges, and you will have seven different arenas in which to compete. Up to four players can play Galactic Wrestling head-to-head or in tag-team form.

We will bring you more on Galactic Wrestling: Featuring Ultimate Muscle during the course of E3 2004.
