Fur set to fly in Legend of Kay

Cat fanciers and action addicts alike might take interest in Capcom's Legend of Kay, which the company today announced has made its way to retailers across North America.

As the game's kitten-pawed protagonist, Kay, players must master the martial arts to stave off the combined forces of rats and gorillas, and restore peace to their once idyllic settlement of cats on the island of Yenching. Kay has more than 40 moves to help him dispatch his foes, including weapon attacks, combos, and magical spells.

The game's German developer, Neon Studios, has an extensive history developing for the Game Boy, with previous efforts including Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX and Armorines on the Game Boy Color. However, it isn't entirely new to the home console world, as it lists among its credits Tunnel B1 on the PlayStation and Saturn, as well as Mr. Nutz for the Amiga and Sega's Mega Drive.
