Free trial of Anarchy Online: The Notum Wars

Funcom has today unlocked canceled Anarchy Online accounts to offer former players a free 30-day trial of last year's The Notum Wars expansion pack. The thinking behind the initiative is to allow players to experience the expansion using their old characters.

"We're extremely proud of the product and the unique gameplay it adds to the game," said Trond Aas, CEO at Funcom. "But we feel our regular free trial is more a trial of Anarchy Online, not The Notum Wars. Land control and organization warfare can take a little time to get into, so we wanted to let former subscribers log on their characters and get straight into the action without having to level up a new character first."

Players eligible for the free trial should receive an e-mail from Funcom soon, and in addition to being able to check out the expansion pack, they'll be able to see some of the other new content that's been added to the game over the last year, including the land control features and clan battles.
