Freddie Prinze Jr. Voicing Dragon Age: Inquisition

I Know What You Did Last Summer actor to voice Iron Bull in BioWare's upcoming RPG.

The Iron Bull character in BioWare's upcoming role-playing game Dragon Age: Inquisition is voiced by actor Freddie Prinze Jr., the developer announced today on the BioWare Blog.

Prinze Jr. starred in movies like She's All That, Scooby Doo!, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and Wing Commander. This is not his first video game, as he also voiced James Vega for Mass Effect 3.

His character, Iron Bull, is a one-eyed Qunari mercenary that Prinze Jr. describes as a the "James Bond of Qunari." Check out the video above for more.

Dragon Age: Inquisition launches October 7 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC. We played the game at E3 last week and concluded that it overcomes the many problems of predecessor Dragon Age II.

Who wrote this character's lines?  Did I just hear: "Like poison... weird ass poison?"

Did Freddie Prinze Jr ever made a good movie?

Freddie Prize Jr seems like a good guy for sure. But I Know What you did last Summer has got to be one of the worst movie titles ever.

If this game has the same messed up controls as the other two dragon age games than i am not getting it, i have better things to do than hold down right click for 8 hours in a row

He was pretty cool in the last season of 24 too. Iron Bull sounds like my kind of dude. Find a cause to fight for as I see fit, have sex with all the females then bounce, lol!

why do bioware always try to give british accents to all their dragon age games?

God damn, this is going to eat my life for a while... I can feel it in my Thedas bones.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised with his VA for Iron Bull.  Back in ME3, you knew that Vega was Freddie.  So hearing that he was going to work on DA:I led me to feel a bit disappointed.  I'm glad to see that I was hasty in my judgement.  Looking forward to having Iron Bull on my team.

So hyped for this game, absolutely love the Dragon Age series and this is looking better and better with each video. I really like Freddie as Vega in Mass Effect 3 so I really don't see any problems with him playing a Qunari, just hope the character isn't so strange that he becomes over-designed.

I thought he did a good job as Vega, so I'm cool with this.

Ser James of Vega?

They have to get the Esteban character  voice actor to banter with him now! LOL, they`re exchanges in ME3 were hilarious!!

Heh, I didn't like his character in ME3 but his voice was fine I suppose. Does this guy have shares in EA or Bioware?

I can only imagine how much Sten would actually hate the Iron Bull as a person.

Look forward to what he brings to the character, Vega was great. - good voice acting I couldn't believe it was him playing Vega!

I hope the character is like that super sensitive male nanny he played on Friends. That would be hilarious.

Wing commander was not a terrible movie. The guy dated Buffy the vampire slayer he already lived a Bio ware game.

He might not be a really good actor but as a VA in Mass Effect 3 he did one hell of a job. Eager to see his perfomance with Iron Bull.

be funny if he was returning to his role from mass effect...

@bkohary  I don't think Winter is ever going to get here. Four Seasons and no Winter.

@dannydopamine8 You're right, they should add gamepad support for PC. Holding right click to move the camera is just stupid.

@amar1234  Because apparently it gives us Westerners a sense of old lore. I for one like it. I would rather hear a heavy British accent over an American one I have been speaking my entire life. It definitely adds to the whole experience. But why they get British actors to portray Americans or vice versa I don't get.

@Cordliss Vega was okay once i told him to stop calling me freaking Loco. . that drove me loco

@LatinproX Yeah he should be your cart maker or something. The qunari could argue about how the big 4 wheel "grizzly" horse-carts vastly outclass the newer, magically levitating ones because it can take a few hits. And then the cart maker would say something like - "I hope so, that thing handles like a drunk rhino - no agility whatsoever!"

@nutcrackr Several of the VAs BioWare hires have roles in both ME and DA. I can think of Claudia Black, Brian Bloom, and Mark Meer off the top of my head.

@MrStygian Sten would be jealous that Iron Bull has horns..

@leikeylosh @dannydopamine8 ? worked fine for plenty of people including me. The only problem with the camera (in da2) was the inability to zoom out properly imo.

@amar1234

@tightwad34 Something maybe a lot of people don't realize is that Thedas is based loosely off of our world.  Most of the humans from Ferelden sound British, but you might notice that most of the characters from Orlais sound French.  The dwarves actually do not have an accent - they are meant to sound more like Americans.

tightwad34
tightwad34

@Ovirew @amar1234 Come to think of it I have noticed not many dwarfs sound anything other than American or British. I for one, love the British accent when it comes to RPGs or really any game for that matter. It adds to the experience for me.
