Midway Games has today announced that the PS2, Xbox, and GameCube versions of Freaky Flyers have shipped to stores across North America. In addition to cartoon-style airplane racing, the game features stunt flying and aerial dogfighting modes of play.

"Gamers will be amazed with the detail of the vast environments as they explore the 13 characters' storylines, which enable them to perform inverted loops and attack enemy outposts while racing," said Helene Sheeler, vice president of marketing, Midway.

Freaky Flyers features adventure storylines for all 13 of its playable characters, and as players progress through the game, they will be able to unlock a further 20 secret pilots.
