Forza leaderboards now online

Web site for Microsoft's sim racer updated with Xbox Live rankings.

Forza Motorsport enthusiasts have propelled the "ultra-realistic" racer to the position of second-most-popular Xbox Live game behind the sci-fi shooter Halo 2 from Bungie Studios. Forza fans sometimes have to go hours without knowing if they've lost a place in ranking on the Nurburgring Hotlap or the Pacific Shipyards point-to-point race. Work, school, and other daily activities pull gamers away from their Xboxes and their cherished pole positions.

Today, Microsoft Game Studios announced that gamers can check their standings anywhere with an Internet connection. On the newly revamped Forza Motorsport Web site, gamers can now look at more than 1,400 leaderboards in various categories. Now, gamers can see which racers have the top lap times on Test Track Oval from their cubicles.

In addition, gamers can also search by gamertag to see where they rank overall, in addition to discovering how many first-, second-, and third-place finishes they have. Furthermore, they can find out how long they've spent tearing up the track online.

Forza Motorsport, an exclusive Xbox game, is rated E for Everyone and retails for $49.99. For more information on the game, head over to GameSpot's previous coverage.
