Earlier today, BioWare announced that gamers will be able to purchase a $7 add-on for Dragon Age: Origins when it launches for the Xbox 360 and PC on November 3 and the PlayStation 3 later that month. Turn 10 will be doing that launch one better, saying today that Forza Motorsport 3 will launch with a batch of free downloadable content for those who buy the game new when it hits the gas exclusively on the Xbox 360 on October 27.
Those who purchase the game new will receive a one-time-use token to download the Motorsports Legends Car Pack. The car pack includes 10 coveted rides from years gone by, including the 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA, the 1964 Aston Martin DB5 Vantage, and the 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa. Turn 10 did not indicate whether these vehicles would later be released for purchase, and Microsoft declined to comment on the matter.
The token will also allow gamers to download for free two bonus racing tracks. The Benchmark High Speed Ring lets gamers cruise around an abandoned airfield that has been converted into a racing track. The track features 3.96 miles of surface, as well as a large oval, eight-lane drag strips and airplane hangar. The other track will be Sidewinder Proving Grounds, which has been included in previous editions of the game.
Microsoft and Turn 10 also announced today the full list of cars and tracks that will be included in Forza 3. Of note, the ranging 400-car garage includes 30 Ferraris and 28 Porsches, as well as a number of vehicles not previously seen in other racing games. These include the Aston Martin DBS, Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR, and the 2009 Acura ARX ALMS. A full list of cars and tracks can be found on the game's official Web site.
