Fortnite's Next Update Delayed On PC, PS4, And Xbox One

More details at a later time.

Comments

The next updated for Fortnite has been delayed. The team announced on Twitter that Patch 2.4.0 will come to the game after some bugs and stability issues have been fixed. While there's currently no new date for the patch's release, Epic Games is providing updates on Reddit as well as Twitter and the Fortnite website.

The delay comes on the heels of an update last week that caused an extended period of server downtime across PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Epic apologized for the rough rollout and will offer players freebies in both the Battle Royale and Save the World modes to make up for it. However, those freebies are supposed to come "sometime after" the 2.4.0 patch.

The 2.4.0 update is set to provide a number of bug fixes for the Battle Royale and Save the World modes. According to Epic, addressing complaints about building-related bugs was one of the reasons for the delay. You can read the full patch notes on the Fortnite website.

Fortnite's most recent updates also primarily dealt with bug fixes, although the new Chug Jug item was added last week. Before that, Epic released a major update that revamped Fortnite's map. You can try out Fortnite's new limited-time sniper mode right now through February 2.
