Baker's character, Wyatt Taylor, is a medical officer stationed at Fort Solis, and Clark plays a maintenance engineer working on a remote Martian mining post. The exact relationship between the two characters is unknown. However, in a live interview following the trailer's premiere, Baker said that his character will "at times be in opposition to Roger's character."
