Football Manager scores sales record in the UK

Sega Europe today announced that Football Manager 2005 has become its fastest-selling release and has also landed at number three on the latest UK sales charts. The title, known as Worldwide Soccer Manager 2005 stateside, was released for the PC on November 2. The game ranked number five in fastest-selling PC titles of all time in the UK, joining three of FM developer Sports Interactive's Championship Manager titles in the top five. "While it's very nice to be up there in the fastest-selling charts, we plan to keep working on this title until we top the best-selling charts, too. We're only just getting started," said Mike Hayes, managing director of Sega Europe. World Soccer Manager 2005 is slated for release early next year. The title is rated "E" for Everyone.
