Fly Around as a Head That Takes Over Enemies in Double Fine's Next Game
A nightmare you may have experienced is now a game.
Double Fine has announced its newest game, and it involves flying around as a head and taking over enemies' bodies.
The head in question hasn't necessarily been severed, decapitated, or even decollated. Instead, it appears to just be a head that resides inside of a jetpack-equipped space helmet. Also, it wants to shoot things that shoot at it (him?), so it even appears to be a reasonable head.

Bizarre as this might sound, Headlander looks to take place within the confines of a traditional genre: a side-scrolling action game. As demonstrated in the trailer above, you control a head that's able to attach itself to various types of bodies, including a robot on wheels. At one point we see the head detach itself from one body, fly over to an enemy, pop its head off, attach itself to that body, and then use its weapon to shoot nearby enemies.
Headlander is set to be published by Adult Swim Games in 2016, according to the official website. Platforms have yet to be announced.
Neither Double Fine nor Adult Swim has said when we'll be hearing more about Headlander, but it could show up at PAX Prime this coming weekend. Stay tuned to GameSpot for the latest.
