Developer Scott Cawthon has announced Five Nights at Freddy's World, a role-playing game which draws its cast of characters from the Five Nights at Freddy's horror games. Cawthon posted the announcement on Steam, where he confirmed that the game will be coming to PC, Android, and iOS.

Cawthon also reiterated that there will not be a Five Nights at Freddy's 5, as "the story is complete." However, the characters from previous Five Nights at Freddy's game will be returning in Five Nights at Freddy's World, where players can create a party from a choice of classic, withered, toy, phantom, and nightmare versions. It will not be a horror game.

The game is still early in development, and no release date was revealed. However, a free demo will be released at some point prior to launch.

Five Nights at Freddy's 4 was first released in July this year. It is the fourth Five Nights at Freddy's game to be launched in the span of a year. A Halloween update will be released for the game on October 31, introducing a cheat menu, a challenge menu, and other new content.
