Specific information regarding this new character hasn't been revealed at this time. Other characters confirmed for the game include Marshall Law, King, Ling Xiaoyu, Hwoarang, Paul, and Kazuya Mishima. More characters will be revealed at a later date.

Additional information on the game was released in the latest issue of the Japanese publication Arcadia. The game's story takes place two years after the conclusion of Tekken 3. As opposed to its predecessor, Tekken Tag Tournament, the fifth incarnation of the series will be fought in one-on-one single matches. Also, according to the publication, the battle arena will now be finite with the introduction of so-called "walls." Although, specifics of this were not discussed. Tekken 4 will be released in Japanese arcades later this year, with a Sony PlayStation 2 version to follow.
