First State of Decay DLC out next week

Breakdown expansion arriving Friday, November 29 for $7 on PC and Xbox Live.

Open-world zombie game State of Decay will add its first expansion--Breakdown--on November 29, developer Undead Labs has announced. The DLC will be available that day on Xbox Live and PC for $7.

"Our first expansion comes largely from you and your dreams," Undead Labs said about Breakdown. "Less story, more survival. Long-term survival. More difficulty. New achievements, survivors, and weapons. We hope you have as much fun with it as we have."

Alongside the arrival of the Breakdown DLC on November 29 will be State of Decay's fourth title update, featuring various bug fixes and a new loot distribution system. For PC players, a new remappable keybind feature will arrive a few days before the expansion and title update.

State of Decay originally launched in June for Xbox 360, before coming to PC in September (through Steam Early Access) and officially earlier this month. The game has sold over 1 million copies to date across both platforms.

Based on what I have read, the "infinite play" in the actual DLC isn't what most people wanted. Instead of having an open-ended game that you can play forever, it basically just restarts the single player game at a higher difficult level. Sorry but that's lame. I like the original game but there is no way I'm buying this DLC.

Cool, it will give me a nice break from next-gen.

Great downloadable game that did things even big production games can't seem to do. Great atmosphere also

This looks good, I like 'infinite play' but 'increasing difficulty' seems like a tired old cop out. I'd just be happy moving from place to place as supplies (ammo, food, health) run out, increasing difficulty is annoying and unrealistic, realistic survival what this game was initially about, why would infected decaying zombies become stronger with time? Increasing difficulty is what we had in 80's arcade games, I'd prefer varied challenges and puzzles instead, or none, just have it so supplies in the area you're in run out, forcing you to move. You're experience in the zombie apocalypse should mean it becomes more difficult to survive, you should become more awesome and just have to move on. However, I loved this game and will get the DLC regardless. AARRRRrrrgghhh, too much coffee!

Wish it wasn't the same time frame as the X1 launch. I do love this game but I'll be playing Ryse, Dead Rising 3 and Assassins Creed 4 on my X1 at that point. This game came out so long ago, wonder what took them so long to release this.

So....they are selling us a sandbox mode w/ the exact same map of the original that was supposed to be included with the full game?  DLC at its finest!

OH nice, DLC. If the game were playable on pc this would excite me, but it's not, soo......

@jimdove2 Be careful that you don't wait TOO long...  You can reach a point [post-crossing] where the delay between story missions makes the resource gathering & special-slayings kind of a chore.  Probably worth finishing the first play-through, then starting a new one when the DLC comes out, IMO.

@Jacanuk @emacdaddy08 Graphics have been pretty wonky for me.  Changing mouse sensitivity has not changed the camera sensitivity.
