Midway has provided us with a look at their upcoming sequel to San Francisco Rush, Rush 2 Extreme Racing US. This console-only title will expand on the game in several different areas. There will be 12 new tracks including six new locations such as Las Vegas, New York, Hawaii, and Seattle. There are also stunt tracks, speedway loops, and a secret track.

Braking has been improved, you'll be able to drive backwards, on two wheels, and drift into corners. There will be at least ten new cars, animated textures, a shop (where things such as the car handling can be altered), a cheat menu, and more. The two-player split-screen mode will remain in the game.

The title is planned for an October release for the PlayStation and Nintendo 64. The following shots are from the N64 version.
