PlayStation's first TV show, Powers, debuts in under month. But you don't have to wait that long to check it out. PlayStation on Tuesday released a behind-the-scenes trailer for the show, offering a first look at the program's characters, setting, and story, among other things.

The nearly eight-minute trailer features commentary from the Powers actors, including Sharlto Copley, whom you may remember from his starring role in Neil Blomkamp's District 9.

Powers also stars Eddie Izzard (Ocean's 13), as well as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory actors Noah Taylor and Adam Godley.

The show is based on the comic book series of the same name created by Brian Michael Bendis, who later worked on Marvel franchises such as Spider-Man and Daredevil.

The Powers TV tells the story of Christian Walker (Copley), a former superhero who lost his powers under devastating circumstances. Haunted by his past, Walker works as a Los Angeles detective on cases involving other superheroes, known as "powers," all while coming to terms with his non-superhero nature.

Powers debuts on March 10 through the PlayStation Network. On that date, the first three episodes will be available for free, while the ensuing seven will arrive one episode per week through April. The entire first season is free for PlayStation Plus subscribers, though pricing for non-members has not been announced.

Competitor Microsoft shut down its own original entertainment division, Xbox Entertainment Studios, late last year. However, the Steven Spielberg-produced Halo show is still in the works.
