First Look: Wipeout 3

Psygnosis has given us permission to show off some of the first screens and video of the next installment in the Wipeout series, Wipeout 3 for the PlayStation! Guaranteed to blow away fans of the first two editions, Wipeout 3 takes everything that made the series popular and upgrades those attributes to new heights.

Graphically, Wipeout 3 will run on the highest resolution mode (640x480) on the PlayStation. Aurally, this time around world-renowned spinster, DJ Sasha, will treat gamers to a series of tunes. And in terms of gameplay, be prepared for even faster crafts, more jumps, more ramps, and more track branches - essentially a lot more of everything that makes Wipeout so cool. Add to that a whole slew of new teams and tracks, Dual Shock support, and you're looking at one of the biggest racing games of the year.

With the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) right around the corner, you can be assured that we'll have plenty more on Wipeout 3 to come.
