LONDON - One of the highlights in Infogrames' sweltering hot booth was the company's first Dreamcast football title, UEFA Striker. Here are the early details and screens.

Although the version we played was extremely early, - it looked quite promising, although it took minutes (which felt like hours due to the irksome heat) to navigate the menus before actually playing, and the replays continually popped up with no option to skip them. Rage is developing the title, and their other Dreamcast games have been well received by gamers.

UEFA Striker played well enough, but at this time we didn't really notice any features to set it apart from the standard football title - although we if we had had more time we probably would have come across some nifty gameplay. Infogrames claims that it has created a new tactical engine in hand with professional players and coaches, so we'll have to see how it turns out. Because it is the first football title that will be released on the Dreamcast, you can expect much more coverage on UEFA Striker in the future.
