Zoo Digital has today released the first information on the Game Boy Advance version of SimCity 2000. The game was originally released for the PC back in 1995 and was subsequently released on a number of different console platforms including the SNES, PlayStation, Saturn, and Nintendo 64.

In SimCity 2000, players are challenged to design, build, and maintain a large city without sacrificing their sims' quality of life. The game will see players faced with many of the same decisions and problems that real mayors have to deal with, and it will also feature disasters such as earthquakes and air crashes for them to contend with.

SimCity 2000 is currently scheduled for release in North America through Destination Software on October 15. Zoo Digital will publish the game in Europe on October 31. We'll bring you more information as soon as it becomes available.
