Taito has released the first screens of the PlayStation version of RayCrisis. The 2.5D (2D gameplay, but with 3D backgrounds) shooter was previously released in Japanese arcades, and it is the sequel to the popular game RayStorm.

RayCrisis will feature five stages of shooting action, taking place in such areas as the desert, the city, the clouds, and more. As with many shooters, RayCrisis lets you select the order in which you play these levels.

Japanese gamers can look forward to the PlayStation incarnation of RayCrisis in February of this year. A US version should follow later in the year.
