Wales-based Jester Interactive has today released new information on Music 3, its music-generation program for the PlayStation 2 and the sequel to MTV Music Generator 2.

With each new installment in its Music series, Jester Interactive has sought to make the program more powerful and more user-friendly, and Music 3 is no exception. As previously reported, the third incarnation of the program will allow users to add lyrics or their own sounds to their tracks using a USB microphone, but another new feature revealed today is the DJ supermixer mode. With this option, users will be able to mix tracks on the fly using six virtual turntables that can easily be switched between.

It was also announced today that Music 3 will seek to greatly improve upon the visual elements of the series. In addition to clean and user-friendly interfaces, these improvements will come in the form of customizable videos to accompany music tracks. The program will incorporate a library of computer-generated images along with footage of dancers, cities, and the like.

Music 3 is scheduled for release before the end of the year in both North America and Europe. For more information, take a look at our MTV Music Generator 2 review of the program.
