A PlayStation adaptation of the upcoming film is in the works.

Sony Computer Entertainment America has announced that it plans to release a game based on the upcoming Disney movie Lilo and Stitch for the PlayStation. The movie is scheduled for release this summer, and it will feature the voices of Ving Rhames and Tia Carrere. It will focus on a young Hawaiian girl named Lilo who picks up what she believes to be a stray dog at the pound. However, the "dog," who she names Stitch, is in fact a six-limbed alien-killing machine on the run from bounty hunters.

The game, a 3D platformer in the vein of the Crash Bandicoot games, will offer levels inspired by the events in the film. Players will alternate between controlling Lilo and controlling Stitch. The game's graphics offer clean, cartoony detail and a smooth frame rate. The gameplay will include collecting items and standard platforming action. Players will be able to play minigames and unlock assets from the film ranging from original art to a trailer.

Lilo and Stitch is currently slated to ship this June for the PlayStation.
