Drop dimes and throw down monster jams in Konami's NBA 2Night follow-up.

Konami has released the first screenshots from and additional information on ESPN NBA 2Night 2002. The game will feature new animation routines and player textures, which should add significantly to its overall visuals. New dunk animations and defensive moves such as backboard pins, blocked jumpers, and open-court steals have been included in the game. Additionally, Konami has addressed one of the primary flaws in last year's game by introducing a dedicated turbo option. Naturally, making full use of the ESPN license, the game will feature a TV-style presentation including commentary by Stuart Scott and Brent Musberger.

The game supports up to eight players at once using PS2 multitaps, and specific songs in the soundtrack are provided by hip-hop producers Pete Rock and DJ Hi-Tek. ESPN NBA 2Night 2002 will be released in November for the PS2, and an Xbox version will follow shortly thereafter. The screens shown are from the PS2 version, but, according to Konami, the Xbox version should look similar.
