German-based Independent Arts has recently announced and released information on an adventure title named Demon Hunter. The game, which Independent Arts is developing alongside Raising System, will see players assuming the role of a young adventurer in world full of monsters, mystery, and magic.

As a magician, a hunter, or a warrior, players will have to fight enemies in real time and solve puzzles as they progress through the game's eight chapters en route to a confrontation with the evil prince of darkness. The game will incorporate RPG-style character progression, and, using items discovered on their travels, players will be able to develop powerful magic spells and weapons to make the journeys through the randomly generated dungeons in the game less difficult. Dungeons in the game will, however, be made particularly challenging by the fact that Demon Hunter employs a fog-of-war mechanic whereby players will only be able to see enemies on the screen that their character would be able to see according to the line of sight.

Independent Arts is hoping to have Demon Hunter in stores before the end of March, but no publisher for the game has been confirmed at this time. We'll bring you more information on Demon Hunter as it becomes available.
