First Look: Colony Wars Red Sun

The next Colony Wars lets gamers choose their own road in a galaxy with new graphics, more missions, and added depth.

Great news PlayStation owners, the next installment in the Colony Wars series is already in the works, and boy does it look hot! Colony Wars Red Sun is set to push the PlayStation to its utmost limits, refining and further enhancing the graphics to improve the in-game textures and overall visual look. Psygnosis is planning on creating even more of a cinematic experience with better quality FMV and a completely new dramatic epic musical score.

This time around players are allowed to completely control their own destiny. Instead of siding with the Navy or the League you play as Valdemar, a Han Solo-type military agent, seemingly out for no one but yourself. With Colony Wars Red Sun's revised mission structure, the game has been greatly enhanced with more depth - you're allowed to select missions, and may find yourself helping the Navy or the League, whether you like it or not.

Don't start saving up for this one yet, though, as it isn't slated for release until the spring of 2000. However with the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) coming next week, you can be assured to see plenty more coverage on the game right here.
