First Look at Tekken Tag Tournament
Videogames.com scores even more information on the next version of Tekken - complete with new shots. How can you afford not to look?
Since our last report on Namco's Tekken Tag Tournament, we've compiled a ton of information and screen shots on the game. So much, that videogames.com will post a special feature preview on its site on Monday. But we couldn't wait to give you some new shots and more info.
The game is currently only 50 percent complete and has 20 playable characters. Fifteen of those characters are from Tekken 3 including Nina, Paul, Jin, Law, Hiehachi, and Eddy to name a few. Five of the characters are from Tekken 2: Baek, Jun, Michelle, Armor King, and Ganryu. At least twelve more characters are expected to join the roster, which will bring the total number of characters up to 32!
The big difference in Tekken Tag Tournament as we reported on last week is the new fifth button that allows you to change characters during a match. It works like the tagging-out action in Marvel vs. Capcom where you select two characters on the selection screen and swap them nearly at any time.
Minor tweaks have been implemented to some of the existing Tekken 3 characters to try and tune the game a bit. The five returning Tekken 2 characters are loaded with new moves, combos, animations, and throws. Here are nine screens to tide you over till Monday.
