Firefall open beta sessions announced for November and December

Each session for the upcoming online shooter to feature different missions; will be held on weekends for 48 hours.

Red 5 Studio has announced that it will be hosting Firefall open beta sessions for the next few weekends.

Party in Copacabana with guns and jetpacks starting November 30.

Gamers can apply for the session as beta testers during the scheduled times. However, Red 5 Studio stated that not everyone who applies is guaranteed to get in.

Each weekend will have its own theme. From November 30 to December 2, players will have to stop as many creatures as possible from invading Copacabana. From December 7 to December 9, players need to team up to stop the game's antagonists, the Chosen, from advancing across New Eden.

For more information, head to the official page of the game. There is currently no release date announced for the full version of the game. For more on the game, check out GameSpot's recent coverage on the title.

My game lags like hell. I'm guessing it's my PC but it dose it no matter what graphic settings I use. I guess I'll have to wait for a different beta, or full release.

I heard good things, I wouldn't mind trying it out...but I don't have the TIME!

If I wanted a multiplayer shooter I only have to go online with an FPS...Why would I bother with yet another FPS that is online only...?

This game is really impressive but it needs more actual content.  You can finish all the pve stuff within a day and there are only like 4 pvp maps or something.

"Hey guys, play our open beta!.......which we need to let you in on anyway"I don't know how long till release but for a better launch, they need an actual open beta period where everyone's allowed in and not these "you may or may not get a key" ones

@tgwolf So true, I played the beta it's nothing special, boring as hell so I uninstalled it.

@OmegaFlare18 There is no open beta. Only a rolling invite beta so their servers aren't overloaded. So they will pass out more invites as they get closer to launch, and then they'll stop beta ad go to launch, where everyone doesn't need an invite anymore to play.

@jessie82 There's more content now, and there will be more as 2012 ends. In December they said they'll be rolling out a huge-ass patch.

@jhr77  @tgwolf It's a beta, guys. Of course it's not done yet. They haven't really put in the content. And it's an MMO shooter, not a normal FPS. Just give it a chance before judging.
