Final Fantasy VII G-Bike Coming to iOS and Android

The Combat Racing Minigame From Final Fantasy VII Launching in Japan This Fall.

There's still no indication that we're likely to get a mobile version of Final Fantasy VII anytime soon, but we are going to get a piece of it. Remember the motorcycle combat minigame that you could find in the Gold Saucer amusement location? According to the latest issue of Famitsu (and subsequently reported by Siliconera), Square Enix and CyberConnect2 will be releasing a mobile version of the game this fall in Japan, dubbed Final Fantasy VII G-Bike.

The game tweaks the original in a number of ways, with players now able to both jump and slide the bike as they fight off Shinra bikers. Also, there will apparently be multiple bikes for you to choose from, and each can be customized using materia.

If successful, it seems that this may be the first of several Gold Saucer-themed minigames that Square Enix is planning for iOS and Android. Perhaps the rock-paper-scissors-like 3D Battler? Or Chocobo Racing? Or even the oft-rumored snowboarding game?
