Ahead of Final Fantasy XV's release next month, we can now bring you the first 45 minutes of gameplay from the long-awaited RPG.

Captured on PlayStation 4, the gameplay shows off where the game starts, in the desert of Leide. You'll see right away that players meet up with Cindy at the Hammer Head gas station, before setting out on a journey to battle monsters and complete quests. Watch the footage in the video above, but of course, if you're hoping to go into Final Fantasy XV with fresh eyes, you might want to avoid this video.

The gameplay video also highlights some of the playful banter between Noctis and his pals, while there are some driving sequences on display as well. Additionally, you can see some of the game's map and hear some of its music.

In other news about Final Fantasy, 24-year Square Enix veteran Yusuke Naora recently announced his departure from the studio. His last project was Final Fantasy XV, on which he served as art director. Additionally, Microsoft has confirmed that Final Fantasy XV will have HDR support on Xbox One S.
