Now Playing: Final Fantasy XV - Kingsglaive Trailer

The Final Fantasy XV movie was directed by Takeshi Nozue and written by Takashi Hasegawa. Kingsglaive stars Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) as Nyx Ulric, Lena Headey (Game of Thrones) as Princess Lunafreya, and Sean Bean (Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones) as King Regis.

The critical reception around Kingsglaive has largely been negative, though there are some glowing reviews. GameSpot critic Alexa Ray Corriea said in her review that "Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV is an exemplary work from a team that knows they must continually earn their power--that power being the ardor of Final Fantasy fans." She praised both the visuals and the casting and added that "it's a tribute to all who have touched this series and who have been touched by it."

Kingsglaive opened in theaters on August 19 in only 24 theaters, but it recently expanded its showings to nine more cities. You can see them all there. The movie comes to Blu-ray and DVD on October 4.
