Final Fantasy 15 and Battleborn Get Crossover Artwork

Here is what Final Fantasy 15 might look like if Gearbox designed it and Battleborn if Square Enix made it.

Final Fantasy XV and Battleborn are very different games--in terms of genre and art design, among other things--but now they've been brought together. As part of an "art trade," the art directors at Square Enix and Gearbox Software have created some crossover artwork that is certainly unique.

First up is Yusuke Naora's take on Battleborn. Take a look:

Battleborn art director Scott Kester's image, meanwhile, shows off a stylized version of Final Fantasy XV hero Noctis, with Battleborn character Phoebe in the background. Also very cool.

These images were shared recently on Twitter by the official Gearbox and Final Fantasy XV accounts (via DualShockers). Gearbox called Naora's piece "amazing," while Square Enix said Kester's is "badass."

Battleborn launched earlier this month for consoles and PC, while Final Fantasy XV is scheduled to come out in September. Gearbox's game is off to an "encouraging" start, but it's too soon to say if the shooter will become a Borderlands-like hit, according to Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick.

As for Final Fantasy XV, director Hajime Tabata said he's hopeful the game can sell 10 million copies.
