Final Dishonored DLC out August 13

The Brigmore Witches launching next month on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC for $10.

Bethesda announced today that the final downloadable content for Dishonored--titled The Brigmore Witches--will launch next month. The content will be available on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Steam for $10 on August 13, followed by a PS3 European release August 14.

In The Brigmore Witches, players continue their journey as assassin Daud and will bring the "twisted narrative" that began with The Knife of Dunwall (April) to a close.

"After discovering the identity and intentions of Delilah, the leader of the Brigmore Witch coven, you set out to disrupt her from completing a powerful ritual that will spell your doom," reads a line from the content's description.

"Having already been betrayed by your lieutenant, Billie Lurk, you must rely on feuding gang factions--the Dead Eels and the Hatters--to negotiate your way through previously unseen districts of Dunwall en route to Delilah’s stronghold."

Players' power, weapon, item upgrades, chaos level, and actions from The Knife of Dunwall will carry over to The Brigmore Witches through a save file option.

The first DLC pack for Dishonored was December's Dunwall City Trials, which introduced 10 new challenge maps to the game.

DLC for Dishonored may be coming to an end, but the franchise could continue. Bethesda said in November that the game sold beyond internal expectations, making future installments likely.

I'd like to play as either the outsider or with the outsider...maybe have both a single player campaign, and a co-op campaign similar to Dead Space 3?

Loved the first story can't wait for the next.

I hope they also use save file tranfer to Dishonored sequal as well.

Not a big DLC supporter...but for Dishonored I'm making an exception. Already got the first DLCs (on steam sales, of course)

Dunwall City Trials was a waste of money, but their second DLC was fun from start to finish. I'll probably be picking up this next installment.

Love the game, but not a big fan of their DLCs. They are way short. Why bother releasing something that you can have beaten in a few hours. DLCs should be longer and add significance to the gaming experience. I don't feel like theirs do.

Again, I love Dishonored and am very much looking forward to a follow up, but am pretty disappointed in what they put out so far for DLC.

I hate DLC, but THIS, this is DLC done right. Content created AFTER the game release that actually ADDs NEW content WORTH paying AND playing for.

Kudos to Arkane studios.

So this is basically a $100 game..... until the GOTY disc goes on sale for $20 in 8 months.  Suckers.

''Oh yes dear,'' Says Granny, ''I have been waiting you.''

10/10, will buy the DLC.

Never bought DLCs before and I don't see why I shouldn't now! :D

P.S.: Of course, for Dishonored and I'll get all of them.

The main game was kinda short for full price (Yes I played stealth, and yes I got all the collectables. Not that they justify the short length of the game). The second DLC was fine for 10 bucks (if it was 10) but I don't know if throwing 10 more bucks would worth 3 more missions.

Make a complete edition and i'll buy it in a heart beat.

@iomor27

DLCs should be longer than the original game? what are you smoking?

point me to one DLC that was bigger than the original game, just one.

I really doubt you can

@JBStone1981 you are getting trolled by a bunch of dudes saying you brought nothing to the discussion, yet their ranting is even more useless. Kudos to the morons!

@JBStone1981 HOW?!?! How is it overrated? You fail to justify why and from what most of us agree on Dishonored was a fantastic game that brought back the stealth genre from the brink.

@JBStone1981

No that would go to Half Life, Resident Evil 4 and Bioshock.

And of course. overrated doesn't mean bad.

@JBStone1981 You posted your opinion, but you didn't supply any justification for your claim. You are adding nothing to the discussion. You might as well have submitted a user rating for the game instead of making a comment.

Personally, I just ignore comments like this. In this case there were enough replies to take a look - which is really just a problem with the people responding and further adding to the non-discussion.

@LordCrash88 Not caring to collect all items or do a no kill / no detection playthrough it takes something like 6 to 8 hours.

Of course you will probably love it and do a no kill / no detection playthrough and that takes longer.

Hardly, people for the most part stayed pretty grounded with that game. The first one however...not so much

JBStone1981
JBStone1981

@Hvac0120 @JBStone1981 And here you are, adding nothing. There is no rule here that we must all have a discussion. It's a comments section, which is for--gasp!--posting comments! Holy crap, what a concept!

I have no need to explain why the game is overrated. If you're really interested in why, check my blog. Otherwise, I'm not bothered.

Emerald_Scott

@Hvac0120 @JBStone1981 Lemme say that I agree that opinions need justification, in my view. But you know, it wouldn't make a difference. Either way, someone is going to flame you or be passive-aggressive towards you if you criticise something they like, even if you really do have valid points.

So the best thing to do is to not say something negative in a place where the fans would flock. Then again, it might be the best place in case you're looking for a challenge.

All in all, you can simply ignore things you don't like if you want to.

Personally, I have my reasons for why I feel this game is overrated, but fortunately, I'm smart enough not to start an unnecessary argument with someone here. At the end of the day, it's my opinion against theirs and we would accomplish nothing without trying to understand each other, which is what a lot of people on the Net don't like to do.

So what's my point? I really don't know. I just love rambling, that's all. Sorry for wasting your time if you'll have felt that way.

@LordCrash88 Then we deiced that all the critics have gone mad after playing games and reviewing them all their lives. I, however think that both mentioned games by you got the score they deserved, just because they did and I'm not in a position to argue with that.

max-hit
max-hit

@Emerald_Scott I don't remember disrespecting anyone. Users' opinion on different products is based on emotions and that's why we have authorities. As much as everyone loves to mock critics I'd like to defend them because the majority ( of gamers' community) doesn't understand the process of criticizing a game( take a look at any comment section on any review.). Luckily the industry is mature enough to understand the fact. And also the fact that users are and will stay users( it's not an offense, it's just a fact. I'm a user too.).

LordCrash88
LordCrash88

@max-hit @LordCrash88 No, of course not. But I know that other games with a similar problem (like Spec Ops: The Line) got much worse ratings and that's a clear indication that Bioshock Infinite is in fact overrated. I don't say that it's a bad game, but it's not a 9/10. You can't say that the game offers only mediocre gunplay and the world lacks interaction and choices and giving it a 9/10 at the same time. That's dishonest = overrated. ;)

Emerald_Scott
Emerald_Scott

@max-hit @LordCrash88 It's just his perspective. Please respect that. The fact that he feels it is doesn't mean it is. However, when a lot of people agree that a game is overrated, it's not something you can dismiss. A good example is GTA IV. On the other hand, I'm sure there a lot of people who also feel that it's a great game. I try not to be a biased person.

max-hit
max-hit

@LordCrash88 If you didn't like Bioshock Infinite, it doesn't make the game overrated.

LordCrash88
LordCrash88

@Deadly_Nemesis @LordCrash88 I think it was a bad idea to make Bioshock Infinite a FPS, even if that sounds weird. The narrative and the gameplay don't match, and the compromises to get the two parts together make the whole game worse. And there are so many compromises in this game, it never holds up to its promise. ;)

Emerald_Scott
Emerald_Scott

@VoidSECT @Emerald_Scott Haha, busted, eh? I'll admit that I don't like GTA IV at all, and I have my valid reasons, but I just don't wish to start an argument. :P

Hvac0120
Hvac0120

@Emerald_Scott @JBStone1981 I agree with @Emerald_Scott that you would receive flack for either supporting or not supporting the game.

It's your option to post as a comment if you like and you are right that it's not your problem if people don't like the comment.

That is why I usually ignore comments like that. They don't typically bother me. It was the # of responses your post was strangely receiving that I felt compelled to explain why such replies are posted. It was not meant as an insult to you either.

Emerald_Scott
Emerald_Scott

@JBStone1981 Not at all. I was actually in your defence somewhat and was addressing the other guy, or else I would have replied to you instead. What I meant is that whether you had written one line or paragraphs criticising the game, you would have still received some backlash.

JBStone1981
JBStone1981

@Emerald_Scott @Hvac0120 @JBStone1981 If you're suggesting that posting a negative comment about a game makes me stupid, I suggest you re-think that preconception. Fact is, I dropped by to leave a comment, which is what this whole thing is for. If some people can't handle that, that's their problem, not mine. I'm not the one who's personally injured over it.

@JBStone1981 @djroberts187 I wasn't complaining! My favourite food critics are the ones who go into restaurants they know they don't like, shout "I don't like your food!" and leave.
