Microsoft and online game developer VR-1 announced Thursday that their online multiplayer flight simulation Fighter Ace now has a new version, complete with expanded terrain, new aircraft, and a new pricing model.

The new aircraft - bombers - includes the B-17G, Avro Lancaster Mk I, Junkers Ju88A-4, and the Petlyakov Pe-8.

Fighter Ace's new terrain adds ground targets, robot bombers, more airfields, larger maps, and support for force feedback joysticks.

Finally, Fighter Ace will now cost US$1.95 per day, or $9.95 a month, down from $19.95 a month. A special promotional rate is now also running: six months for $49.95 and a free Fighter Ace T-shirt.

The new changes are effective immediately, and Fighter Ace is available on Microsoft's online gaming service, the Internet Gaming Zone.
