The worlds of Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy XI are coming together today for "The Maiden’s Rhapsody: Memories of an Unseen Realm" collaboration event. Final Fantasy XIV players can check it out now until June 22.

The event has players aid Harbor Herald reporter Remumu stay safe while investigating a story. Participating players will get to unlock the Amatsu set originally worn by Iroha, a character from Final Fantasy XI. The exclusive armor set includes an Amatsu hachigane, yogi, yekko, haidate, and sune-ate.

Players interested in the event need to travel to the Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks and speak to Remumu in order to start the 'A Journey to Remember' quest.

This isn't the first time we've seen this event in Final Fantasy XIV; it was also held in November 2015 and again in 2017 to celebrate separate events in Final Fantasy XI. Square Enix clarified that anyone who played through the event then will not be able to this time around. The event will be unavailable after June 22.

If you haven't jumped into Final Fantasy XIV yet, the Shadowbringers expansion that launched in July of 2019 is the perfect reason to do so.

"For a story that starts with a laser focus on your character's motivations and misgivings, it tells a tale that ends up being the biggest and the best that Final Fantasy XIV has ever told," Ginny Woo wrote in GameSpot's Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers Review. "Equal parts redemption, vengeance, cruelty, and sassy Elezen, Shadowbringers promises a hell of a lot when you take your first steps into Norvrandt and delivers a truly spectacular finish even if it stumbles a little along the way."

A major patch that will revamp Final Fantasy XIV's base game A Realm Reborn, which many cite as the least enjoyable part of the game, is coming this Summer. The patch, subtitled Reflections in Crystal, also includes new main quests that continue the FFXIV's story, new boss fights, and the next chapter in the Nier Automata crossover raid series YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse.
