Feeling Burned Out? That's the Idea

Bethesda Softworks reports that beta testing is wrapping up on racing sim Burnout: Championship Drag Racing and that the product should ship to retail on March 20.

The game will feature 20 tracks based on real-life drag strips from across the USA and 60 components that players can use to customize their cars.

Bethesda has recently refurbished its Burnout web site as well; visitors can download Bethesda's VIEWCAR utility and then, according to Cheng, "check out the 20 cars found in the game in all their 3Dfx-enhanced splendor. You can rotate the cars, watch them do a burnout, and for the psychotics out there, you can smash up the cars."
