Far Cry 4's Arena Mode Is a Gladiator-Style, Humans vs. Animals Affair

Square off against elephants and tigers in Ubisoft's upcoming open-world game.

Ubisoft has released a fresh trailer for this November's open-world action game, Far Cry 4, revealing a new mode called Arena. As you can see in the trailer above, Arena is a Gladiator-style mode where players square off against animals as people look on and cheer.

Some of the animals shown in the trailer include elephants and tigers. You'll also fight human enemies, though it remains to be seen if these are controlled by other humans or AI.

Ubisoft released the trailer this week, though Far Cry 4's Arena mode was actually teased back in August during PAX Prime. At that event, Ubisoft had people dressed in animal costumes duke it out in cage matches. Watch the video above to see the insanity in action.
