Ubisoft on Tuesday released the latest expansion for open-world action game Far Cry 4. Titled "Overrun," the add-on introduces a new PvP mode, as well as more maps and a new vehicle.

The new Far Cry 4 PvP mode, called Overrun, challenges teams to compete for control of one of three capture zones to score points. The more team members controlling a zone, the more points players will score. Overrun matches span two rounds, with each round's score added together to determine who comes out on top in the end.

Alongside the new Overrun mode are four fresh maps made specifically for it. These new maps were purposefully designed to "support the tactical yet frenetic" gameplay of Overrun, Ubisoft said.

A new vehicle also comes to Far Cry 4 through the Overrun expansion: the dune buggy. Featuring a combination of speed and power, the dune buggy may determine who wins and who loses on the battlefield, Ubisoft says.

Overrun is available now on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4 through Far Cry 4's $30 DLC pass, or it can be purchased separately. The expansion comes to PC this Thursday, February 12.

Ubisoft isn't done supporting Far Cry 4 just yet, as the publisher plans to release the game's final expansion, Valley of the Yetis, sometime later this year.
