Fallout: New Vegas and 7 More Xbox One Backwards-Compatible Games Arriving Today

Return to New Vegas on Xbox One.

Microsoft continues its program of making Xbox 360 games playable on Xbox One today as eight more games are now backwards compatible, as announced on Major Nelson's blog. One notable addition is Fallout: New Vegas, so if you're done playing Fallout 4 but still want some more of the post-apocalyptic action-RPG series, you can now jump back into the 2010 installment on your Xbox One.

Joining New Vegas are seven Xbox Live Arcade games. You can see the full list of new additions to backwards compatibility below.

If you already own any of these games, or decide to purchase them, they'll be in the Ready to Download part of My Games and Apps on the Xbox One dashboard. If you own New Vegas on disc, you can simply put it in your Xbox One and start playing.

Last week, Microsoft made five more games backwards compatible, including Left 4 Dead and Portal 2. You can check out our full list of all the supported games here.

You can also vote on the games you want to see made backwards-compatible here, although there's no guarantee that Microsoft will make it happen--the three games most voted for by fans, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Skyrim, and Red Dead Redemption, have yet to be made playable on Xbox One.
