Fallout 4's Dogmeat Inspires This Grunge Song

"He's a good boy / found me a good gun / I love that mangy mutt."

Fallout fans are a dedicated and creative group. The latest example is a new song that's dedicated Fallout 4's canine companion, Dogmeat. YouTube's bonecage wrote the song, which has a '90s, grunge-style sound to it thanks in part to its use of drop-D tuning. You can listen to the track below.

"Even though he occasionally gets in the way, Dogmeat is a good boy. He brings a bit of love and comfort to the otherwise nightmarish landscape of Fallout 4, and I thought he deserved a song," bonecage said (via Polygon).

Below are some lyrics from the guitar-heavy song. The track's vocals were performed by Mr. Gee, who runs a YouTube channel dedicated to Fallout music.

In the wasteland you're alone / no comfort but the sweet release of death / now I'm not one for mincing words / I'm not gonna stand and breathe my last /

I got some caps in my pocket / I got my guns and my rocket / and I got Dogmeat / He's a good boy / found me a good gun / I love that mangy mutt
