Exit Tokyo: stage right

Well, it's 7pm on Sunday, and we're just about done for this year's TGS. We're all pretty tired after several hectic days rushing about, but I can safely say it's been a great time. From the moment we landed in Tokyo until we rolled out to the show early Friday morning...
...the anticipation of what we might see had been building. Although the press day was busy enough, it was the best time to get hands-on with the most popular games, especially the PS3 titles. Once the doors opened to the public, it got a teeny bit more difficult:
Still, through the noise and confusion, finding the games and playing them was still cool, and hopefully you've been happy with what you've seen.
But no show is just about the games, and TGS has plenty more besides. Who could ignore the booth babes? Homer sure couldn't.
And what of the cosplayers? As my first time in Tokyo for the show I'd never seen them before, and if you've not come across them, they're basically guys and gals who dress up as characters from video games. The thing its, they're really popular, and there are often queues forming just to take photos of them.
Between the three busy show days, and managing to catch a few sights and sounds before that, the past week has been exhilirating and exhausting. I never thought I'd find my way around, yet by Saturday I was travelling half way across Tokyo alone without giving it a second thought. It's funny how the 'different-ness' of it all drip feeds slowly into normality.
That said, it'll be good to get home, get time for a few proper meals, and maybe put my feet up before X06 kicks off. In the meantime, sianara Tokyo, it's sure been a fun experience.
