European FFIX in 2001

European gamers will have to wait until 2001 to get their Final Fantasy IX fix.

Comments
Final Fantasy IX is set for a release in North America in November, but European fans of the Square RPG will have to wait until next year. According to the European distributors of EA/Square products, Final Fantasy IX will be released in Europe sometime in early 2001. This is likely due to translations for the big markets such as Germany and France. Because of the delayed release, it is likely that many Square fans in Europe will import the game from the US. GameSpot News will continue to follow the story and will let you know when an exact release date for the European version becomes available.
