Contact, which is being developed by Grasshopper under the direction of Gouichi Suda (SUDA-51)--who is also the mind behind Capcom's Killer7 game--has been pushed back in Europe to February 2007. The game is scheduled to be released this week in the US.

Contact puts the unique properties of the DS to good use, utilising the touch-screen controls for equipment and character customisation. The two screens will be integral throughout the game, with one featuring a constant link to a character called the professor, an affable guy who helps the player figure out what's going on. The game is broken up into islands, and there is also a "Wi-Fi island" for cooperative gameplay in the multiplayer mode.
